Le
Bosquet is a well-established leisure complex featuring
three gîtes, each with its own individual charm.
We have set out to create an environment that offers the perfect base
for a holiday in France. Set in nearly two acres - part of it elegant
woodland, Le Bosquet possesses all the advantages of its position in
the heart of La Mothe St Héray - a delightful friendly
village. Charcuteries, boulangeries, patisseries, cafés,
bars, banks, butchers, chemists, etc. are all within a short stroll of
our front gates.
Once inside the property you can take pleasure in the magnificent Roman
ended, floodlit heated swimming pool, gymnasium, games room, the
gardens and the private wooded grove that gives us our name (Le
Bosquet). Here there is something for every member of the family to
enjoy - we even have our own 40-seat cinema.
Close to us are a tennis court, a football pitch and bicycle tracks.
For anglers there is the nearby Sèvres Niortaise River.
Less than an hour away are the Atlantic resort of La Rochelle and the
historic city of Poitiers - with its Futuroscope, France's most visited
attraction (after Disneyland Paris). Within half an hour are three
magnificent golf courses. Even closer are the Royal Silver Mines of
Melle, and the 5000 year old Tumulus of Bougon. Many like to make day
trips to the Châteaux of the Loire Valley and the vineyards
of Cognac and Bordeaux.

golfers there are three magnificent courses. 27 inviting
holes at nearby Les Forges; the 18 hole course that surrounds the
imposing 17th century Château du Petit Chêne with
its restaurant and bar open to players and the challenging 18 holes at
Golf de Niort. All these courses are less than half an hour from Le
Bosquet.
We
supply you with sheets and bedding but please bring your own towels.
Cots and high chairs are available.
Baby-sitting can be arranged.
There is also a paper back library.
Sorry - no pets.
All gîtes have satellite TV, local terrestrial TV and a DVD
player.
ADSL broadband available.
Peak season bookings are Saturday (after 4pm arrival) to Saturday (by
10am departure)
